Ryan and I met through an outdoor instagram contest nearly 8 years ago. 50 strangers were selected for a weekend away to a secret location to enjoy some local hikes and meet like-minded people - luckily we were both selected to be one of those 50 people!

The secret location ended up being Manning Park B.C.

We were scheduled for a yearly photoshoot at Golden Ears Park. Usually I planned these with our friend but Ryan had secretly been making plans of his own. The shoot was to take place when the first atmospheric rainstorm occurred in B.C. a few years ago - and Ryan searched frantically for somewhere nearby with better weather. Luckily he was able to find a place with no rain forecasted, and it ended up being back where we first met - Manning Park.

Rowena’s Inn on the River. We were drawn to this location as it was an outdoor venue, had amazing greenery, water nearby, and was close the mountains.

My inspiration was simple at first. I had never envisioned my dress but figured I’d want something simple. In typical fashion, I went with something very opposite to that. I knew my dress was the one when I didn’t want to take it off.

My absolute favourite part of our wedding day was seeing my Husband down the aisle for the first time. It’s a moment we’ll both never forget.

Sneak away after the ceremony for 10 minutes to enjoy a glass of champagne and soak in the moment that you just married your best friend!
